Offshore Marine Services OMS U.A.E provides Drilling and Marine personnel, on a contract, temporary or permanent placement basis, to clients who operate in the Middle East, India and other international locations. Position Project Manager Industry Type Recruitment / Placement Firm Functional Area Marine / Shipping Services Location of Job Dubai - United Arab Emirates Job Description •PM will manage the large projects involving New building, Maintenance and other specified work. The responsibility will encompass an overall performance responsibility for these projects involving both commercial, P & L and schedule. Ensure smooth liaison with all technical departments & sub-contractors/suppliers during the project period.
•Creating individual cost analysis/control sheets for continuous monitoring and to have a precise order reserve for the project.
•Maintain project planning sheet in MS Project for monitoring the progress of the job. Identify
the milestones & ensure the timely completion of the projects.
•Ensure that DT is updated regularly on the following issues for each project:
1.Commercial performance
2.Operational performance
3.Financial performance
4.Planning
5.Project risks
6.Potential upsides and / or down sides that could compromise schedule and /or
financial performance
7.QHSE performance
8.Liaise with every involved department, i.e. technical, logistics, etc and assuring that they
are aware of their respective responsibilities and duties towards resources, milestones and
commercial targets. Desired Candidate's Profile Profile COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
1.A qualified Engineer in Marine / Mechanical with Management skills in Finance
/Economics.
2.Previous experience in a shipbuilding and / or oil & gas / maritime industry.
3.3 – 5 years relevant experience in Project Management / Planning / Cost Control of
New Building Projects.
4.Excellent literacy in MS packages, Planning software MS project and good at generating
documents and report writing.
5.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build bridges between the various
departments in the company’s matrix organization.
6.Fluent in both spoken and written English with good negotiation skills.
