Construction Manager ,25 - 30 years exp , Muscat

Experience:
1. 25 years related experience and minimum 15 years
experience in construction management and control of
multidiscipline construction contracts.
2. Experience in construction of oil and gas facilities
3. Must be a good people manager and be committed to
safety and quality
4. Proven experience in managing high value construction
contracts (i.e., US $25 million)
5. Good knowledge of Shell or other international Oil
company specifications.
6. PDO experience preferred
7. Experience in managing multiple subcontractors with high
value work scope. (minimum US $ 0.5million)
8. Must be driven to complete the project on schedule, to
the required quality and absolutely safely with zero harm
to people, property or the environment.
9. Experience in Oman with Shell / PDO is highly preferred.

Language ability: Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of Hindi.
HSE Training: HSE Induction, H2S awareness, HSE Management of Contracts, HSE Management Workshop, Incident Investigation, Occupational Health

Special skills:
Good construction managerial Skills Good Presentation Skills Good Computer Knowledge - Essential ( MS Office)
Driving - Preferred to have Oman Driving license.
Medical fitness: Physically fit for extensive travel to interior/desert locations

Other Details:-
1. Based at site, oversee and manage the construction
activities ensuring project performance is meeting or
exceeding company expectations
2. Reports to Contracts Manager.
3. Shall be the site focal point to client, interact with
client, attend Progress meetings and safety meetings.
4. Lead, direct and monitor team of planning, HSE, QAQC,
Multi discipline construction superintendent and site
construction team and other staff as applicable.
5. Optimize resources and expedite project delivery in line
with project schedule.
6. Lead the development and implementation of company
and departmental process and best management
practices within the areas of responsibility.
7. Inspect work in place and work in progress to ensure
same meets or exceeds quality, specification and
schedule requirements.
8. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and
external team members including staff, clients,
subcontractors, vendors and other industry professionals.
9. Direct departmental staff to ensure efficient and
effective departmental performance including training,
professional development and career advancement opportunities.
10. Reports status, successes, challenges and plans of action
to the management team and company on a timely basis.
11. Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by
establishing, following and enforcing standards and
procedures, complying with legal regulations of
contract,company and country.
12. Ensure that jobs carried out as per contractual
requirements and comply company specification.
