Job Description As a Kitchen Technician you are responsible for the maintenance of all kinds of kitchen equipments used within the kitchen and to ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:
• Repair, install and maintain in good working order the equipments like boiling rings - gas / electric, grills, ovens - confection and forced draft, ranges, steamers, fryers, Bain marries, hot cupboards, fridges, freezers, beer cooler, walk in fridges and ice making machines
• Thorough knowledge of facility operational procedures, facility emergency plans
• Adjust valves, switches and levers to start, operate and stop the equipment
• Ensure that kitchen equipments are checked on a regular basis and that any problems noted are reported
• Perform basic maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment using manuals and their past history
• Maintain security measures by counting and making rounds through the kitchen on a periodic basis
• Ensure that the building, as well as the outside area, designated for kitchen is kept clean and secure
• Account for all tools assigned to the kitchen and notify immediate Superiors if tools are missing
