Well Testing Engineer,(10 - 20 yrs.),Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates

Our Client is a Major Regional Operator developing a Sour Gas Field to meet the gas demand for UAE. They are in look out to fill the below position.

Job Title : Well Testing Engineer
Division : Drilling
Reports to : Department Manager

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE:
Provide expert advice and assistance on well testing issues. The applicant will provide technical leadership in the design of cost-effective well testing programs, data quality assurance systems, enhanced well testing interpretation models, innovative reservoir characterization /well testing studies and comprehensive data archiving programs. The candidate will also support operations by handling well testing operations, analyzing test data and providing technical support to operational well testing engineers

TASK, DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Prepare and run well testing model using specialist software’s and tools
- Create comprehensive data archiving programs to provide reservoir character studies and necessary interpretation
- Preparing reports for senior management developing active mentoring programs for junior engineers,
- Conducting technical seminars, acting as a Task Force Leader to solve special problems in area of expertise, leading and participating in internal project technical reviews, authoring technical papers,
- The candidate will originate ideas for improvements, develop a basis for required field testing and management review, analyze results and recommend new or changed procedures and processes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normally air conditioned working environment for 30% of time and 70% of time on rig with exposure to heat, fume, dirt, oil, noise etc. On call per schedule.

PROBLEM SOLVING AND JOB COMPLEXITY:
Work is complex and varied. Require selection and application of technical or detailed skills in a variety of situations. Considerable degree of independent judgment is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelors degree in petroleum Engineering or related engineering/science.
- Minimum of 10 years of intensive experience in petrophysical specialty
- Good knowledge of English language(written/spoken)
- Good computer skills (Microsoft applications as a minimum)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment.
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Is good in communicating, listening and influencing: Responds in a sensitive manner to verbal and non-verbal communications.
- Is a pro-active person rather than reacts to situations.
