Sales and Marketing Manager - Thermal Desalination, Water Treatment,(10 - 15 yrs.),Dubai - United Arab Emirates

Position summary:

Resources controlled
•Direct Reports – one
•Revenue: sales revenue of >$30M from over 12,000MT products
•Costs – Period Expense management required for the role

Position requirements (knowledge, skill & experience required)

•Minimum undergraduate degree in chemistry, engineering or related subject
•Minimum 5 years experience with demonstrated success in industrial sales role
•Well developed interpersonal skills and Middle East cultural knowledge
•Experience of key account leadership and sales territory management
•Self-motivated individual able to work alone whilst communicating effectively
•Arabic as primary language, also fluent in English

Other preferred experience:
Strong negotiating skills, chemical technical awareness, desalination knowledge

•Physical characteristics of the position
•Will require frequent business travel throughout GCC and to UK.
•This position is primarily office based work with computer/telephones.
•Will involve light manual handling on occasion and regular VDU assessment

Major responsibilities of the position
1.Achieve targeted sales revenue & gross margin targets for Thermal Desalination; monitor monthly & year-to-date sales performance to understand variances to plan & recommending corrective tactics where necessary to Regional Sales Director

2.Manage all customers effectively. Develop, update, communicate & implement account action plans for Thermal Desalination key accounts & distributors; continually update Companies customer contact database with email/telephone/address details; communicate call reports & follow up actions to Regional Marketing & Regional Sales Directors

3.Input to companies Sales & Operations Planning process by (i) providing accurate product demand forecasts & sales revenue forecasts over agreed planning horizons, and (ii) assist company in ensuring that local third party logistics operates to agreed standards such that customer service levels/product supply are maintained to a high standard

4.Assist in defence of existing business by communicating intelligence on competitor activity/pricing/products to Companies Marketing Management and Regional Sales Director

5.Implement agreed pricing & payment term targets as directed by Companies Marketing Management and ensure that Companies ERP system accurately reflects pricing & terms with agreed validities.

6.Agree & implement plans for market development of new products with Co. Marketing & Regional Sales Director to drive Co. new product revenue growth

7.Represent the Company and conduct business activities in a manner consistent with commitments to Code of Ethics, Anti-Corruption, Responsible Care and Health & Safety policies.
