The Incumbent is responsible to ensure that project activities are completed according to all applicable codes and standards and other company quality requirements. The job performed is related to on -shore construction site including elevated structures and
confined spaces. The incumbent may coordinate the inspection activities and manage the inspection team at the construction site.
The incumbent reports to the Quality Manager. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing all technical problems relating to
inspection engineering and assist in solving such problem. Additionally, he shall provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior
inspectors and engineers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
a) Review the project design and specifications to ensure the compliance of SATORP requirements.
b) Review the contractor quality control procedure, Inspection Test Plan. & Quality plan.
c) Oversee daily field quality inspections related to mechanical tasks such as process piping / pipeline and equipment
installation, hydro testing, hot tapping, etc.
d) Oversee welding inspections and monitoring the heat treatment of piping, vessels and associated equipment.
e) Oversee NDT applications such as liquid Penetrant, magnetic particle and ultrasonic examinations and assist in the
interpretation of the results.
f) write inspection reports, non-compliance reports, and worksheets and make log book entries
g) Oversee the development and training of junior inspectors
h) Monitor contactors inspectors and quality systems to ensure adequate performance, compliance with company QA/QC
requirements, prepare inspection reports and maintain inspection records.
i) Review / Assist in review of project drawing and specifications for compliance with company and international standards.
j) Coordinate inspection coverage at the construction site.
k) Keeps current of the latest developments in equipment inspection standards, codes, practices, procedures, methods,
inspection equipment and ionizing radiation safety requirement, as applicable.
l) Review / evaluates contractor s QA/QC management systems.
Additional Information:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience - Four years engineering BS degree plus three (15) years industrial inspection and construction experience. OR Two years
industrial/ Technical college diploma plus eighteen (20) years industrial inspection and construction work experience.
Maintains two industrial certifications as applicable.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English fluently
Good medical & physical condition.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools and computer skills.
Must pass technical and personal interview.
Valid driving license.
Good Knowledge of international standard such as ASME Section VIII, Div.I, ASME B313/314, ASME Section I and section IX and APIs.
